Not a Happy Fiddler

It was 1934 when Grandma Marie decided that Mom, then 9, should take violin lessons from the sisters at the Catholic Church.  She bought a violin for $9 and a bow for $5.  Mom hated it but enjoys the memories of her friend Hilda.

Summer Home

Valentine's Day is approaching, so this one is for Bob!  The song is from Jewel, the paper from Graphic 45 and the selfie from last summer's Teter Lake picnic.

"I'm gonna build myself a summer home in your arms............built with all your charms."

Duck Dynasty

For many years I've taken the first week of February off from work.  I start out every calendar year with a revised 4 week menu cycle, and after 1 month of testing-it's time to take a break.  Monday we took a ride out nearby Opekiska Road where the back waters of the Monongahela River provide refuge for birds.  There is actually a sign for "Duck Crossing".  Sure enough, near the painted rock with the West Virginia state outline-there they were!

We were out of town a couple nights, and I cut my frame with nail scissors.  I had a lot of fun with this page.  Have a good week!
