After watching the movie "Nebraska" last night, Bob commented that we'd never be crabby (like the old couple in the film) with each other.
The sentiment on this layout was inspired by the Valentine Bob gave me. The picture in the lower left is from the Valentine:
"With every smile,
Every adventure,
Every touch. . .
I fall in love all over again."
Photos of the covered bridge and the selfie are from our February getaway to Huntington, WV.

Behind the Barn
Happy Birthday to my brother Jim, who jokes he studied "behind the barn"! He is a man of many talents, pictured here in front of our parents' barn with photos of some of the awesome meals he has created. He is a great cook who grows fresh herbs and produce during the summer.

1200 Sabraton
The 2 story house on Sabraton Avenue had a large kitchen downstairs and a large bedroom upstairs. The other rooms were small. The kitchen had a window to the living room where we ate some of our meals. I liked the neighborhood and my neighbor Mary. Bob began teaching at Waynesburg College and I was WVU's first Dining Hall Dietitian. 1982-1984.

Crystal Clear
The sky was a brilliant shade of blue and the February weather crisp as we left Huntington. We were in no hurry. One of our stops was in Milton to tour Blenko Glass. 2014

Hillbilly Hot Dogs
On our trip down Rt. 2 near Huntington, we had to stop at Hillbilly Hot Dogs to view the new junk and put our initials on the bus.

Margaret
My Mom asked me to make this page about her sister Margaret. Mom was the older sister to Charlotte "Margaret" Mullan born 2 years apart.
"Margaret was before her time. She was a tomboy. She beat the boys at marbles and was the Champion of Hammond Street School in the 1930s." Mom was a lady. Grandma asked Margaret why she couldn't be more like June.
"Margaret could climb like a monkey. When she was 8 or 9, she found a way to climb on the roof and would go from eave to eave then go into the bedroom window and circle back around. She borrowed (her brother) John's horn and played taps." Margaret loved to entertain family and friends with music.
Margaret was an artist and enjoye painting. She would do carvings with Ivory soap.
"Life wouldn't have been as interesting without her. Margaret helped me face challenges."

Winter Day
We usually take a week off in February but circumstances this year gave us a couple days. Wheeling was our first stop, visiting Oglebay and Wheeling Parks. Our evening ended with a meal at the eclectic restaurant Later Alligator and a soak in the hot tub.
I love the Mix'd Media Inx. To prevent it from rubbing off (& messing up my scanner), I spray it with the workable fixatif just after stamping.
I scanned the back of the Graphic 45 paper, cropped and sized the images for the journaling block and upper left corner embellishment to make them smaller and allow me to type my journaling
Have a wonderful evening!

Enjoy the Taste of Eating Right
March is National Nutrition Month and as a Registered Dietitian and an active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, I eat nutrient dense meals every day! I'm lucky to manage a Healthy Cafe during my work week where I know I'm eating a healthy lunch. Here are some of the meals I make at home:
(Fideos is Spanish for Noodles)
Manhattan Clam Chowder
I am a meal planner, registered dietitian and love to create. I always convert my recipes to make them the healthiest they can be and to use items at hand. Some of my current favorite sources for inspiration are Oldways, Laura's Lean Beef, USA Pears, Egglands Best, Eating Well, Clean Eating Magazine, Donna Hays and Food Network.
Registered Dietitians and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics are the best sources for healthy eating.
Time to fix lunch!
