It was such a great birthday weekend visiting Chris in Martinsburg. While Bob shopped at a nearby gun store (with a gift card), Chris helped me with some things on my I-Pad. I loved when Chris showed me his glass and Fiestaware collections, sharing stories of his travels.
Even though it's off season for local produce, we shopped at the Orr's Orchard store, then ate lunch at the Ciderpress restaurant.
Bob and I traveled back home via the back roads, stopping at Mom and Dad's grave to leave a spring flower bulb.
Spring did arrive the latter part of the month, though March had it's share of temperatures below average.
Bob and I have ventured into the woods on some paths that only the deer and small animals have been. The daffodils, hyacinths, crocus, four-oclocks and forsythia have bloomed.
I was delighted to find these authentic Hot Cross Buns at Wild Ember Bread in Friendsville.
