Maybe it's the school teacher in her-but Terry often sends thank you notes. That makes me feel special and I'll always appreciate her heartfelt thankfulness. Terry is pictured here with son Steve and Granddaughter Freya.

I didn't want to turn 70, but yesterday I woke up feeling like a kid. The sun was shining all day. Bob took me to the Eureka (ancient grains) Cafe for treats in the a.m. and an early dinner at Taziki's. A short ride, a walk to the woods, a good book, a WVU basketball win and all the happy wishes from others makes me think I didn't mind doing it again.

I sewed a pocket to enclose cards and some of the special messages.
On Valentine's morning, we drive to Middleburg where we sit outside to enjoy coffee and bakery item. On the way back, we take a detour to Milltown. A favorite trip with my favorite guy.

Even with little snow this January, the birds were active at the feeders. On the few days the sun shined, Bob took us on a ride, enjoying the scenery and sometimes a Fro-Coke or coffee. In the evening, I played the piano and Bob listened to Sport's Line. We most enjoy our time together.

We had a fantastic Thanksgiving when Chris brought Hank to stay at our house. Hank loves us and our routine. The turkey given to us from Working H was so good as was the Pineapple Upside Down Cake Chris brought from Bings. The weather was gorgeous and we walked to the pole line after lunch. We loved helping Chris with a few things and dining out Friday night.
I love hearing about Chris' work and am proud of the competent, caring young man he is.
