Low Country

We met at Greg and Michelle's home in Columbia and drove to Charleston, South Carolina, where we enjoyed walking through the markets and eating seafood at Hymans, a Greek share plate at Olde Town Grill, afternoon desserts and Hot Little Biscuits.  I loved cooling down in the pool.

The highlight of the trip was visiting Patriots' Point, where we toured an aircraft carrier and destroyer.  The aircraft carrier USS Yorktown carried a crew of over 3,000 and earned battle stars in World War II.  There was something for all of us in the tours, climbing up and down ladders, in and out of planes, galleys and even a space capsule.
