Sunday Stroll

The Columbia Canal at the Congaree River was breached during Hurricane Joaquin.  We toured the flooded historic power plant and walked along Riverfront Park 1 1/2 years later.

Like Dad

On our trip to Columbia (SC) to visit Greg & Michelle, we took a Sunday walk along the Congaree River, where we enjoyed the turtles sunning and a picnic.

When I'm 64

It happened last week-I turned 64.  I woke up Sunday and said to Bob, "We should go to a museum!"  So we did.  We drove to Weston, ate brunch at a diner and enjoyed the glass museum.  No question, I still need him!

The title and words are from the Beetles song:  "Sunday morning go for a ride, doing the garden, digging the weeds-who could ask for more?  Will you still need me, will you still feed me?  When I'm 64!"

You & Me (Greg & Michelle)

Another one of the beautiful photos Greg & Michelle's friends took of them at Christmas.  Love the photo, but most of all, love my kids!

Real Romance

When our oldest son, Greg, and his wife Michelle were home for Christmas, a friend of theirs asked if she could make their portraits.  The photos were gorgeous.

Greg turned 30 last week.  He and Michelle are a smart and charming couple who are compatible and loving.  I'm thinking we set a good example for our children.  Michelle has great parents too!

February Cards

Our youngest son Chris was 24 years old on February 8th.  He weighed only 4 1/2 pounds when he was born.  Now he's a towering young man-still a sweetheart.  This card is for him:

"It's your 24th birthday our wonderful son,
We think in amazement where all the years have gone.
It seems like only yesterday you were a babe
We were protecting you comforting you
Keeping you from harm.
Now you stand before us and with pride in our eyes,
We see a young man who's handsome and wise,
A man who will always do his best.
With a son like you we feel truly blessed
So celebrate this occasion, it's your special day
May good health , wealth and fortune
Always come your way."

My Valentine for Bob!

"This card is for you my husband
My first and only love.
No other man can match you
You shine & line the stars above.
With love"

My valentines for Mom and sisters:

"This special card is sent your way,
Filled with love this Valentines day."

Our son Greg was also born in February.  He celebrated his 30th birthday on the 23rd, and we traveled to South Carolina to celebrate the special day.  Friends of mine made special cookies-some from the SC Palmetto cutout and some from the WV State cutout. Seems 2 of those cookies disappeared on the way down!

"Memories stay with us of when you were a boy
The adventures we had, the years playing with toys.
How quickly time's flown
Now a man you've become.
We're proud of you son!"
