A sympathy card for my work friend Paul who's father passed away. Paul Jr. is such a nice man, so his father had to be as well!

My Uncle John turned 90 this month. I was able to take my Mom (now 94, John's sister) to join him for lunch. He and his sons and family are lovely people.

A card for our friend Grant and his Katie who will welcome a daughter soon.

The Best Man

Chris and Stephanie were the best of friends in high school. They both worked at Belk Department Store. In college, Stephanie and her boyfriend Bryson moved to the apartment just above Chris'. Chris went on casino trips with her parents. At their wedding, he was the Best Man.

October Cards

When I sent this Halloween card to my sister Terry, I hoped it wasn't too "dark". . . but I loved the paper! She too loved it.
"Don't go out tonight
be sure of a great big fright
lots of creepy things out there
vampires that bite
so if you change your mind
beware it's Halloween night!" 

My card for my sister Amy is more of a "fall" card.

"Halloween has arrived
A day full of fun and little fright
From sunrise to midnight
Happy Halloween Day !"  

I received a surprise Halloween card from a scrapbook friend and this one was the one I sent to her.

"It's time for Halloween you know,
when all things dark, begin to glow.
Time for lots of scary fun,
to laugh, and jump, even run!
A witch, a cat, and pumpkins too,
and lots of candy so sweet like you!" 

 Our friend Wanda turned 90 this month. She is one talented and hard working lady.

My former colleagues Virginia and John celebrate birthdays in October. John's wife Betty (she also was a colleague) loved owls.
