Holiday Giveaway

Happy Thanksgiving! I would like to give 1-$20 Scrapbook.com Gift Certificate to one random follower. Please leave a comment on this post by midnight Saturday EST. In the comment, tell me what holiday layout you are planning.

Tomorrow we will be traveling to Keyser WV where my family gathers at the nephews restaurant, "Clancy's Irish Pub" for our meal. The restaurant is closed to the public and we bring covered dishes. The game room, booths, wide screen TV and wings make the meal so much fun for all. Here are my layouts for 3 of the past years:

Have a great Thanksgiving!

Cindy, Looks and sounds like you and your family have a WONDERFUL time on Thanksgiving. A small gathering for us this year. My son in law is going to "try his hand" at preparing the meal. So of course my holiday lo will feature MEN "at work" in the kitchen.
Happy Holidays!!!

Hi Cindy! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your beautiful family! This is not a holiday that we celebrate here in Panamá. Some hotels and restaurants have special dinners and of course american families living here also celebrate. I will throw a Shabat dinner this Friday with all the wonderful traditional thanksgiving food. Will start with the bird tomorrow :) Again have a wonderful holidays and thanks!!!

I think this is so special that you have a strong family tradition like this! It sounds like a great time! :)

I have been slacking on crafting lately because I have been soooo busy with my school work, the semester finally comes to a close in two weeks so, I'll have some time to catch up with "me" time before my new baby gets here in January.. I hope! The next holiday themed layout will be scrapping is probably a Halloween layout since I'm not caught up with this years yet and my daughter was super cute as pink bat girl. :)

Thanks for the chance Cindy! Happy Thanksgiving to you! :)

wow! Your holiday plans sound wonderful Cindy! How cool! I would like to do just a very simple "thankful" for my family type of holiday layout this year.

Love the layouts. What an awesome tradition y'all have!! It will just be our family here this year. A quiet day at home...the boys will hunt....we'll have our traditional cinnamon buns & coffee for breakfast while watching the parade. Then our big 'feast' at supper time! Will take pics of our day & do a 'Thankful' LO afterwards.

I hadn't thought of the Thanksgiving holiday layout since this year, we adopted 2 families & we scaled back ( I can't take pics of that) ...but I am going to a birthday party on Saturday and was gonna do a b-day layout!

What a wonderful idea! I love reading all the comments and different ways people celebrate. Going to an Irish pub sounds like my idea of heaven! We have a traditional French meal with a twist : roast turkey which is not traditionally French. (my in laws are French) I think this year I will make a LO about the flock of 10 wild turkeys that has hung out around our house and so far escaped a coyote that we saw last weekend in the front yard, and also the cats and dogs and other predators. I am thankful for the wildlife that give us so much joy. Have a great holiday, Lynne

Happy Thanksgiving, Cindy! I'm currently scrapping last year's winter holidays in Minnesota. Like Thanksgiving, many events revolved around food. One in particular was the night when Phil's family arrived and had dinner with my family. Not sure what the title will be yet but it will likely involve a lot of H's. Have a great time with your family!

Hope you and your family had a great Thanksgiving!!! I was a bit under the weather and hosting the whole affair...so needless to say, I was glad when I could finally go to bed LOL...not that I wasn't thankful to have us all together...but there were moments when I wasn't sure I was going to be able to physically pull it off! feeling a bit better today thankfully! I am really wanting to do a layout of my Christmas decorations and tree this year! Let's see if I can pull that off! :)

Hi Cindy, you are the best! Your holidays sounds like fun. We took dishes to my daughter's yesterday and all my four children and their families and my brother-in-law and neice were there. We had a great time. Today we will go to my in-laws. I just finished two fall LOs but I haven't uploaded them. I hope to do either a Thanksgiving LO or past Christmases. Have a wonderful Thankful holiday!

Hello there Cindy dear!
Right now I am being the multi-tasker master! I'm tailgating, online Black Friday shopping, and trying to catch up on sbook.com...
Our Thanksgiving was pretty laid back; we had our dinner around noon and I had volunteered to work the early shift yesterday so, I worked from 3:45 until 9:30.
As far as any holiday layouts I have planned...I know I will be working on a special project for my mom. She has requested a shadow box themed with items and photos from her childhood. I'm getting the supplies together and should have it completed before Christmas.
Other than that, no real specific plans. I kinda free create (whatever happens to inspire me at the moment).
I do hope you and your family enjoyed your trip and visit with family...I'll see you soon!

Hi Cindy - well - being a Brit, I was not so much celebrating Thanksgiving, as trying to keep the numbers coming through our Emergency Dept at work to a dull roar! We had an extra 30% kids coming to the hospital yesterday - so just as well we weren't all eating turkey at home! Our turn will come in just a month's time when we celebrate Christmas.

I hope y'all had a great day yesterday and lots of good shopping today!

I'm thankful for each and every one of my scrappy friends, especially those I met this year in the US, and one of my Christmas los will feature my dear scrapping girlfriends!

I am planning to do a New Year's Eve layout soon. My husband and I went out to celebrate our anniversary and it's one of the few photos I have of us lately.

Love your tradition! We met tonight with my husband's sister and her family. We had reservations at a restaurant with a private dining room. We had so much fun we all agreed that we would make this a regular event of the Fri. night after Thanksgiving. I will be making a layout using photos from tonight.

Hope all your holidays are joyous!

Cindy, I hope your Thanksgiving was a good one!!!!
As far as planning... (insert scream) I'm trying to find time to make cards and a batch or two of cookies...
However, I do have a 2-1/2 year-old DGD, so something tells me that I just may find the time to scrap a page or two...
