April Cards

These are the thank you cards I made for the interns that helped me with the March Whole Grains class.  I was so pleased to find the grain paper! On the inside I simply expressed my thanks and told the soon graduating young women to contact me if I could help them in anyway in their future careers.

I learned that a former colleague-an equipment salesman-retired.  Bob not only sold us dish machines, food processors and mixer, but he also came to our kitchen when the equipment was delivered, entertained and showed all the staff out to use it.  He worked many years in West Virginia and Ohio.

"As you retire, look back and be
proud of all the work you have done.
Enjoy every day. Good Luck!"

For George, the former morning lead in the Healthy Cafe kitchen.  His card says "You're kind of a big deal".  He celebrated a birthday at the beginning of the month.

"Good fortune and good health,
Is what I wish for you,
A day that makes you happy,
For that is what you're due,
May the day that's just beginning,
Be perfect from start to end."

For my RDN friend Helen who celebrated a thirty something birthday this month.  Helen and I cropped together when she was a dietetic intern.

"Someone special, Someone kind,
It is you that comes to mind,
Birthday wishes, Birthday treats,
A wonderful day that's hard to beat,
Friends to party, friends to care,
It's a day all want to share,
Enjoy the time and what it brings,
Hopefully joy and beautiful things."

For friends Lacy and Allen who welcomed babies into their families-both boys.

"A new life
celebrate with joy
how wonderful!
a new baby boy."

My farmers market friends helped my out this month by coming to our annual dietetic meeting and sponsoring a mini market.  They each donated something for a giveaway basket too that required folks who entered to visit each station.  These are thank you cards for the farmers.

Easter cards for family and a friend who always remembers me too on holidays.

"Easter eggs and chocolate,
Bunnies and daffodils,
It's the time for pretty bonnets,
We're free from winter chills,
It's the season of expectation,
When everything is new,
And at this special time of year,
I send all my love to you!"
